A RARE Story

It all started with an airboat, a 13 foot aluminum Seminole craft loaded with a 350 horsepower airplane engine. I bought it to explore a large north Florida slough and find the duck blinds my grandfather had built in the 1960’s. The next thing I knew we were hunting wild alligators, big ones with state issued nuisance permits. We took our bumps along the way, a broken hand and few near misses but we were hooked. Not one to waste game, we put them to good use harvesting the meat and tanning the hides. The idea of belts and wallets quickly gave way to RARE, a collection of hand crafted, Wild American Alligator classic totes “to die for” and most recently decorative art.  You see, no one else really goes to such extreme lengths to source and painstakingly use Wild American Alligator, so I knew we were on to something entirely different, unique and well … rare.
